“Stunning hotel, stunning location, we loved our stay and can’t wait to go back! Only very small issues be nice to allow pool use after checkout for kids on weekends as my son was really upset as they said we couldn’t . Breakfast buffet lovely - cooked breakfast random - husband asked how he’d like his eggs with his full english and asked for scrambled eggs. He then asked if he could get his bacon crispy and she said of course….he then only got scrambled eggs and bacon 😂. I asked for French……

“Grand Hotel needing a Grand Redecorate! The condition of the hotel was extremely poor, which is a shame when you think it would have been top end when the hotel first opened. Very obvious that any work that had been carried out was done on the cheap and to an extremely poor standard. The light inside the room did not work, only the bathroom light. It was pitch black and luckily I did not trip over anything when going to bed. Got told there was nothing they could do until the maintenance man came……

“Staff are really great and friendly! The room we stayed is near the alley which is noisy during the night that we couldn’t sleep well. And the pillows are flat that are not comfortable. ”

“We stayed in room 347 right next to a security office and they banged the door all night and early morning. Little to no sleep. We then paid for late checkout and there was a fire alarm going off at 11. Absolute Fawlty Towers of a place. Definitely won’t be coming back. The breakfast wasn’t too bad and most of the staff we met were nice too. The place needs a revamp and please stop banging doors!!”

“Great location, short walk to town, on street parking at front, very friendly helpful staff. Room wasn’t quite ready but we enjoyed a drink on the terrace out front while we waited. Bed very comfortable, great nights sleep, even had a fan to cool the room down which was most welcome.”
