「Had a lovely 4 night stay. The room was very clean..bathroom too. Enough drawers and storage space. The food was amazing. Breakfast was lovely..good quality and great portions. Restaurant/ bar food brilliant. Food good quality..cooked and presented really well. Staff very accommodating and friendly.」

「Comfortable bed, some noise from people on the landing as there was a gap at the bottom of the door but this was only a minor inconvenience. Friendly staff, plenty of teacand coffee in the room too.」

「One of my favourite places to stay! Beautiful countryside. Lovely comfortable, characterful rooms with horse racing theme! Friendly staff, and excellent freshly cooked breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of parking. We stayed on a Tuesday when the main restaurant is closed, but enjoyed our evening meal at the White Goose Pizza Co. which is only minutes walk away.」

「Pascal was excellent. We arrived slightly early but he welcomed us with canapes, glass of fizz and useful local information. Room had everything you need and anything missing they could provide. Pascal was excellent cook and would adjust to your needs. Magnificent sour dough bread. Pickering beautiful town and accommodation just 5 minute walk from town centre. Looking forward to getting the chance to stay again. Thank you Pascal, Sarah and family for making us feel so welcome.😄」

「A great and interesting pub, great beer and food, especially the cooked breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff, large, clean room with separate seating area. Cannot recommend this place enough. 」
