“**Disappointing Stay at Marriott** I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed. The first room that I stayed had persistent air conditioning issues and disturbing noises, which made resting difficult. After a frustrating room change, I was given the wrong key when trying to retrieve my adapter, and the staff didn't acknowledge the inconvenience. As a loyal Marriott guest, this experience fell far below expectations and I never got a apology from the hotel.”

“This recently updated hotel—so new you can even smell the new paint every now and then—is downright beautiful, well-appointed, clean, and spacious, with new furniture, flooring, bathrooms, etc.! And it's right in the heart of everything in downtown Oakland, just steps away from great restaurants and BART and bus connections. I will definitely stay here again!!!”
