We swept the floor and did some dishes then all was great! We had some issues with the internet and found the best way to contact the host was via text message as a phone call and message through the app went unanswered. However, she was very responsive with a text to her number. I found the bed to be very comfortable and the……

“Kind and cooperative host. Check in was quick, flawless. The building is beautiful in a remarkable neighborhood of yesteryear. Walk a block to Smoky Rows for great coffee. Take a stroll past hundred year old houses with porches and fences of days gone by. Fully stocked kitchen, ample parking in front and back. Nice kitchen back door. Good lighting, solid mattress and large screen tv. Quiet residents too. We will be back.”

“Pros: - great location for easy access to surrounding Des Moines area. - Spacious apartment. Cons: If you like quiet, this place is NOT for you! you can hear traffic all night long and you can even feel the traffic go by as well, the floor and wall would even vibrate and rattle sometimes depending on the type of vehicle that goes by! I ended up wearing ear plugs to decrease the noise so I could sleep a little bit… The apartment flooring was not clean…there was debris under the living sofa. ……

“Parking pass was necessary to park on site or risk towing. Pass was to be inside the unit at check-in. There was not a parking pass inside which forced street parking several blocks away. Several attempts to contact the host were unsuccessful, unresponsive ”
