“The breakfast was lovely. There’s no air-conditioning so you’ll have to crack the window. There’s some stairs, so just be aware that you need to carry your luggage up some stairs. The staff are very helpful and friendly. ”

“A warm welcome and shown to the room. The room itself was very comfortable. However, there was no air conditioning of any type or fan in the room in the excessive heat. It did not make for a comfortable night’s sleep. A guest fire action notice or a simple evacuation map showing the route to the nearest stairwell was not readily available behind the door. This requires immediate attention. Breakfast itself was just ok.”

“Stayed here Mon-Fri. My initial opinion of this place was very good. Staff were very friendly and appeared efficient. Check-in was easy. Rooms are very good with a ceiling fan and additional tower fan in the room which was helpful during the recent spell of hot weather. Breakfast was good. Couldn’t connect my laptop to their wifi so had to use mobile network. Food in the restaurant was good and delivered piping hot but service is slow and food is a bit pricey. “Rooms are always immaculate, staff are amazing ,polite , friendly and helpful, shout out to Brenda at reception, she's gold ☺ , food is always delicious and cooked well, especially the tapas that we loveeee!!! Don't let the outside deceive you, it's excellent inside , rooms are quiet, air conditioning which is a must in the heat , beds are firm but comfortable”

“My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up.”

“We have stayed here before several times but this time was really disappointing. We booked an accessible room but on arrival we were told this wasn't available and we were on the first floor. It was fortunate my operation for a knee replacement was postponed or I wouldn't have managed the stairs (no lift). The first floor room was stifling as it was during the ongoing heatwave. No fan provided. We went straight to get a cold drink (having driven 200 miles we were parched). Ordered the drinks……
