“The property is beautifully located along a creek and surrounded by trees and wildlife. Very peaceful and quiet. A bit hard to find and directions do not quite match signage but the location couldn't be better for quick access to the Maroon Bells Wilderness or into Aspen proper.”

“This is a wonderful property. We stayed here during our daughter's Spring Break. We spent most days skiing at Snowmass (~45 minute drive) and explored a little. Coming home to this cabin was a delight. The cabin is warm and cozy. The kitchen window peering out at Mt. Sopris is amazing. The creek just outside the second bedroom and TV room is lovely to listen to. We will be back.”

“Loved the cabin that’s been modernized. Host/owner is gracious and communicated well. Neighbor is unfriendly and does not like due to turkeys and foxes he is raising. Other neighbor we met was super sweet. VRBO distance estimate to Crested Butte is completely inaccurate, wrong and misleading. VRBO distance calculator said 25 minutes to Crested Butte… maybe by helicopter. Road from cabin to Crested Butte is closed in winter, and in summer, owner said that it’s still about an hour and thirty……

“Beautiful property with amazing hot tubs fed by natural hot springs. Comfortable bed, spacious rooms without fussy decor and kitchen essentials provided. We used as our base to go fall leaf peeping. Highly recommend and would like to go back!”

“I don’t really like dealing with property managers as I feel it takes the intimacy out of the booking process but the place really was a perfect complement of the natural landscapes. You can feel the history. You are in someones backyard which is kind of off putting but overall an excellent choice for travelers.”

We thoroughly enjoyed the simple, rustic, yet appropriately stocked and well-maintained cabin lifestyle. “The staff were extremely accommodating! The rooms were great (we stayed in a suite). There are a lot of upgrading and remodeling projects underway. We went for the winter activities and it was beautiful. Access to the forest was all around.”

“Perfect for an extended family getaway for up to 20 people. The river is a few steps away, beautiful scenery, hot tubs are fed by natural hot springs. Exceeded our expectations! As a side note we weren't sure but there were plenty of pots & pans and the counter electric two burner was decent for cooking- plus there are propane grills, a toaster oven & microwave.”
