「Food , drink and staff were really good. Room was very clean but very noisy could here people in next room even their conversation and our room was at the front so constant traffic noise , lots of lorry’s going by. The double bed in our room (4) was very uncomfortable could feel the springs so not much sleep. Breakfast was interesting bought to your room in a basket ! 」

「What a gorgeous Yorkshire small market- town hotel. We arrived on a sunny April day and enjoyed drinks outside on the pavement terrace facing the market square.
Inside is a comfortable, tastefully decorated sitting room as well as a bar area and restaurant.
A beautiful wide staircase led to our room which was also lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was excellent too.」

「It’s so hard to find the quintessential English pub these days but the shoulder of mutton hits the spot.
The food was home cooked and great, not prepackaged
Pub was clean, no damp or mould
The view from the beer garden was amazing overlooking the valley
The room was Pub basic but clean and not mouldy.
Price point was spot on

「Really lovely quaint hotel! Staff are amazing and go above and beyond!! Thank you to Laura, Paul and the wonderful chef!!
Please note, this is a very old building and doesn’t have all the mod cons of a modern property. Bed linen and towels were lovely and clean. There is tea and coffee in the room and you may request additional items if you need them.
Beer garden is amazing with lovely views.
There are TVs to watch sport.
Not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are stairs up to...
