“Breakfast . Expecting a continental breakfast but not on our knees in our room. As it happened we were able to have it outside as it was a lovely morning BUT not good. Also misleading over location. One side of hotel out lòok beautiful the otherside on busy A66. Room very good and evening meal terrific along with young staff”

“We were surprised on arrival to be given an apartment as we had only booked a double room. As we were there for a few nights it was good to have the extra space and kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We understand that this is a new venture and there were one or two things that hadn't quite been finished off but overall it was a good stay. We ate in the pub on one night and the food was excellent. Maybe one or two more options for gluten free.……

“This is an absolutely charming inn attached to a pub and restaurant. The room is cozy and updated. The restaurant food is local, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Sunday roast was just delicious. You’re in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a number of beautiful walks/hikes right outside the door.”

“This "lodge" was a disappointment. The "breakfast" consisted of shrink wrapped continental breakfast items in the room. There was no "service" here to speak of. Not even a number to call or a basic information sheet. Completely unattended!”

“Booked just for one night so apart from sleeping there we really only experienced the breakfast. Must say this was excellent with good quality ingredients and quick service. But disappointed that we were unable to get a snack in the afternoon as the chefs had left and not back until dinner prep. Room and bathroom was very clean. Parts of the hotel were well worn particularly stair carpet”

“Comfortable bed. Good size clean bathroom with bath. Quite quiet after 11.00 . Wall ( outside wall )showed signs of damp and repairs a bit off putting. Told manager at end of stay who noted to inform that it. needed attention”
