“Restaurant is still good and well maintained but room and all the other areas really need to be renovated.”

“It is a lovely unique building of great history . Unfortunately on a Thursday night they had various things not available on the menu including the Cheeseboard and no Merlot wine and no port left. The staff were not very friendly . They did their job is about it. Where we had breakfast was a fly paper which had been there maybe years with dead flies stuck to it . The general cleanliness was not great I stress this is a stone floored 16 c property and general cleanliness in the pub……

“It was pleasant enough. The staff we encountered were really friendly. The decor is a bit dated. Smelt a bit fusty … but it’s an old building so what do you expect. Lovely grounds. I struggled to sleep as the bed was too soft for me (personal preference). Not sure I’d stay again but did the job for the evening.”

“We had a lovely stay at the Fox Hall Inn. Great food lovely staff and a peaceful setting. We stayed for three nights and our room overlooked the countryside and good spacious carpark. Our breakfast was brought every morning in a hamper and left outside our door just let the staff know what time. Great stay would highly recommend”

“We were surprised on arrival to be given an apartment as we had only booked a double room. As we were there for a few nights it was good to have the extra space and kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We understand that this is a new venture and there were one or two things that hadn't quite been finished off but overall it was a good stay. We ate in the pub on one night and the food was excellent. Maybe one or two more options for gluten free.……

“This is an absolutely charming inn attached to a pub and restaurant. The room is cozy and updated. The restaurant food is local, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Sunday roast was just delicious. You’re in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a number of beautiful walks/hikes right outside the door.”

“This "lodge" was a disappointment. The "breakfast" consisted of shrink wrapped continental breakfast items in the room. There was no "service" here to speak of. Not even a number to call or a basic information sheet. Completely unattended!”
