“Quiet & lovely”

“This was a perfect little spot for a family of four. We explored Santa Cruz and the beaches and also all of the surrounding areas. It’s a no frills and comfortable, clean spot to post up. As mentioned, a little road noise but in passing all of the local hotels, I feel like it would be similar wherever you stay!”

“The spot was super clean, easy to access, had a great yard for dogs, and was exactly what we needed for a short stay in RWC. The hosts even left a few snacks for guests which was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend!”

The furnishings are quite sparse but all nicely comfortable and functional, with very good facilities all around in the bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen. It is relaxingly quiet and private, and in a pleasant area. Great location for a visiting academic (as I am), with an easy walk to the university campus, lots of restaurants of all kinds nearby, and BART station. I’d be very happy to stay again on future visits!”

“As you drive up to this Sausalito cottage, it welcomes you in with its gable gate and beautiful flowers. Upon entering, the first thing you want to do is walk across the living room to the sliding door, which leads out onto the spacious deck with gorgeous views of the harbor and boats. My husband and I spent a great deal of time on that deck with either coffee in the morning or wine, cheese, and crackers in the late afternoon. “We loved our stay at Ted's guest house! I traveled with my 79-yr-old mother and my small dog, and it was a bit snug for us but perfectly fine for 3 nights. The scenery and the casita itself are beautiful! Ted does a great job of communicating quickly, making himself available for any questions or needs, and making the home feel cozy and welcoming. “I loved my stay at this comfortable, quiet, private cottage. It was a perfect location close to stores, restaurants and the sights I wanted to see. There were even two deer who hung out under the trees outside the carport. I appreciated the kitchen which was equipped with everything I needed. “Our family of four (all adults) used this spot as our central home base while doing excursions into SF, Sausalito, Napa and Sonoma. Perfect for our needs. Nice kitchen, livingroom, bedrooms, and bathroom with washer and dryer. Tucked up on a hillside, so it has a beautiful view out over the surrounding area. Close proximity to restaurants, shopping, highway, etc. but still sits back in a residential neighborhood where it was quiet. We’d definitely book it again if traveling to that area!”

“Aside from the nearly constant rain the nearly 4 weeks I spent in the cottage in January were pleasant ones. It’s location is very convenient: a 10 minute walk from the downtown BART station, a 15 minute walk to the University, 2 blocks from a Trader Joe’s and a 20 minute walk to 4th Street and its shops. “I planned a fairly random trip to N SF and this place was perfect for what I needed. It’s like a hotel room with a kitchenette. Comfortable, warm, and clean. It also has privacy. The location is great for visits to Muir Woods and point Reyes. It may not be super comfortable for 2 adults due to size, but if you are a solo traveler, it’s perfect”

“1. Trouble accessing lockbox. Owner was available to talk me thru it. More instructions needed, as not all lockboxes work the same way 2. No heat! With 40’s temp, I was very cold and the heater did not work. After another phone call to the owner, discovered fuse for unit had been turned off. 3. Coffee makers but no coffee!”

“First let me say, we had a great time at this property. This is a small house in the city. Great location. We could walk to restaurants and play pickleball at the playground next store. It had three good size bedrooms, with super comfy beds. Only one real bathroom and shower, as the second bathroom was tiny and only had a toilet. But we managed to make it work, once we figured out how to get the hot water. I finally broke down on the second day and messaged the host, and he responded very……
