"I was disappointed to find out that I had booked an apartment in the “residence portion” instead of booking a room at the Hotel. It was a complete oversight on my part… so pay attention to what you’re booking!!! While the apartment was clean and had a great view, it was not what I was expecting when I booked. The staff tried to accommodate my offering a hotel room for one night, however it would have been quite inconvenient for me to move multiple times. The staff at the front desk (Alicia and -Rhea and others) are beyond helpful. I made the mistake of not calling or emailing them in advance of the trip. For example I’m sure they would have suggested renting a car and/or let me knows that the only option is to take public transportation, eg crowded, hot ferries and buses or pay up $150 + for a taxi ONE WAY! This is a single most critical thing. I did not realize when booking this trip… Transportation is a mess. The hotel had a DJ one night that we enjoyed very much along with the nice stuff at the pool bar. Breakfast is served on the terrace with a nice view… and while there was quite a variety, it was my least favorite meal of the hotel. The hotel itself is in a rather remote location (we didn’t want to be surrounded by tourists). So if you like that - I highly recommend Filario especially if you stay at the hotel. The beach access is very convenient and there is a beautiful pool although we didn’t use it. The views and quiet mornings of the lake are magical."

"Amazing hotel in a beautiful little town. Perfect location as just 15/20 mins from bellagio. Staff couldnt be more helpful, views were incredible. Breakfast was lovely. On the bus route from bellagio to como bus stop just outside the hotel. We had a card but didn’t use it at all here. Take the path/road right opposite that takes you up and inbetween the house and you will find many little pathways to avoid walking on the road into the busier side of town. There are also lovey walk along the lake further into town. Ferry 10 mins walk, has a few in the morning that take you to all the major towns. We then ferry hopped between the triangle. Boat rental 10 mins walk away, 3 restaurants I would recommend are Aurora, we visited in the daytime. At night we loved The Stone House, amazing fresh fish and beautiful pasta and Osteria II Governo 1801 was absolutely incredible, make sure to book that one in advance to guarantee a table."

"Everything about this apartment and the hosts was excellent. Daniel and Eros (hosts) were absolutely the best in every way. Communication was excellent, comprehensive and timely. They provided recommendations for dining and activities. The apartment was pristine! The view of the lake from the apartment - gorgeous. The terrace that overlooks the lake fantastic! I could not have been happier with this experience! And I loved the fact that it was not in the center of Bellagio, but rather a quiet, peaceful community very accessible to Bellagio by car or taxi! We were very fortunate to have found this place online!"

"This venue is idyllic, both inside and out. The scenery from the balcony is astonishingly beautiful. The condo is comfortable, stylish and clean with beautiful bathrooms. For women with long hair - be advised, most places in Italy don't provide hair conditioner - bring your own.Couldn't get the hair dryer to plug into the socket. A Euro king is smaller than a North American/bigger than a queen.Simple instructions on how to work the washer/dryer and other appliances would be useful - especially for North Americans who aren't use to the European models.It would have been good to have a host present at our arrival to help with such things - it took us a second look to find the "driveway" to the condo parking- again not the spacious North American allowance for roads and entrance ways - so they take getting use to.Well over 60 steps down to the condo - a bit of a struggle for anyone with impairments.There are many great dining establishments not far down the road in Nesso, but walking is not for the faint of heart as the roads are narrow and winding and the cars sometimes fast and furious. If you take a car, parking is difficult unless you eat early and beat the crowd, Most establishments don't open until 7:00pm and by 8:00 they are often full. Reservations are a good idea to secure a place where you want to be. Food and service was excellent in the ones we chose.Get your groceries before you leave a bigger city if you can - as is advised in the notes from the host."

"This hotel was the perfect spot. Just a little ways out of town so it feels a bit charming and secluded but close enough that you can be in town quickly. The rooms and space for a family of 4 were amazing. We were traveling as a group and every room we had was a lake view with a balcony. The staff was phenomenal. Breakfast was included and offered the kids some creature comforts from home like little pancakes. We also were running late the first night, so the staff through Expedia messaging booked us a table for dinner. The restaurant had a beautiful view and good food. The property was clean, eco friendly with modern amenities including electric shades for the skylights! I can’t say enough good things! If we go back to Como we will definitely stay here again."
