“Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes”

“I stayed here for a conference so the location was excellent. My booking stated deluxe room but it was just a large room; I thought breakfast was included but it wasn't. The mattress was saggy and the lighting was awful - tiny bedside lights or dim overhead lights - no table lamp for working. “This was a hidden little gem I wish I had found on previous trips. The local vibe and location are awesome. I will say that the only reason I didn’t give it all 5 stars was due to two things. The cleaning crew left their cleaning supplies on the counter, not a huge deal, however, the loud neighbors at 2, 3, 4 am were a little overboard. ”
