“The view is incredible. That is the last of my compliments. Hot water ran out after about 6 minutes. The power on the island went out almost every night which is terrible for someone who has to use a CPAP to sleep. It seemed as though all of the units around us had generators. If we had one it was never brought to our attention. We had no way to exit the compound because the gate would only open from the outside. “The location is excellent. Communication with the host was also great throughout our time there. The stove look liked it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The underneath the toilet was also pretty dirty. Like they forget to clean it after a few others guests. Be prepared for routine power outages on the island for conservation. This spot is ideal if you’re looking for a comfortable place to wind down at night while spending your days out exploring the island. Red Hook harbor is about a 30‑minute drive, and several beautiful beaches are within 20 minutes. We also appreciated the included beach chairs, since rentals can add up quickly.
