“The property and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are fine, lots of fruit flies in bathrooms because the property is old and musty. The grounds are amazing though. The staff was simply not very friendly or helpful. They seemed to do what they had to but nothing extra. Like not brewing coffee until it is completely out. The one coffee maker in the lobby had one side not working. No half and half just gross pump vanilla creamer. Tea sitting out and opened rather than wrapped individually. Kind of……

“Shower was not hot, not well maintained.”

“The beds & shower were good. No towels in the room and the bathroom was super hot. The room was super hot upon entering but manageable after a couple hours. I propped the bathroom door open the entire time to bring cool air inside. Breakfast was gross but there is a nearby Dunkin Donuts and great restaurant called Stacy's Pancake House across the street which was wonderful but pricey.”

“We had a great time here. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and very responsive. We only stayed one night, so we did not get to take advantage of amenities like the pool, but we enjoyed our stay.”

“We were happy with your property. The last Hampton Inn we stayed in was awful! Dogs had been in the room and scratched up the floor and other wood around the bed. It smelled bad in this room. The bed was terrible to sleep in. So we have not used your company for 5 months. When we complained we were told this was a dog friendly hotel. And all rooms welcomed pets. Needless to say we were very upset about this and your hotels. You made us think maybe the dogs and pets don’t come first with……

“From the outside this place does not look good. They should invest in some simple landscaping. There was even a time when we were leaving and someone was coming in who asked us if the place was ok. My husband did not want to stay initially due to how it looked on the outside. Inside it was clean and staff were friendly. Our room was cool and comfortable. It was a good location too. Quiet and safe.”

“Charming old hotel in a great location. Breakfast and complementary cocktail hour was lovely. We stayed in the Lighthouse room. The air conditioner unit was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. The room was very small, which is to be expected in an older hotel. However, a television had been hung with an corner overlapping the bathroom doorway. My 6’4” boyfriend had to be very careful not to hit his head. I would recommend it to someone who was interested in the character of an old hotel.”
