“I travel A LOT for business and for pleasure with the wife. This Cranberry Hotel is one of my favorites for a nice long weekend. This hotel is very clean with friendly staff. Great value for the money, restaurant/bar right beside it. Centralized for all of the activities around Cheat Lake WV.”

“Excellent stay at the River House Lodge. Our host Tim was a very accommodating and gracious host. He went out of his way to show us the local attractions and teach us the history of this area. “Beautiful location! Sorta close to grocery & gas. Resort may have food store. Didn’t check. Looks fantastic inside. Paneling design great. Plenty of room for family or separate space. Great front porch. Great covered deck with table in back. ”

“This was the third year that we stayed at the cabin.We have consistently been happy.The only disappointment was, the first several days of the week were very warm, I would have liked to been able to turn on the fan on the first floor living space to lower the temperature in the upper bedrooms ( the remote to control the fan is missing)Besides this, which was Not really a big issue, everything else was close to perfect.Thanks for any enjoyable stay!”

“If you want a real getaway weekend this is the place for you. You need to be prepared to travel on some backroads but once you get to Alpine Lake it is beautiful. The internet was out almost our entire weekend and I did report to the management three times without hearing back from them. The beds were very comfortable kitchen was stocked just okay in my opinion. We appreciated the cleanliness. The steps leading into the cabin are steep and it was pouring down rain when we got there so they are……
