The rooms are tired, without basics like a couple of champagne glasses or a wine knife, We had electrical items that didn’t work. $38 for a buffet breakfast which was really basic and fairly tasteless and you could not order a proper coffee with breakfast.. A budget coffee machine that can’t make a flat white and no decaf coffee anywhere on the island. We were directed to the instant coffee sachets. You can have black coffee, black...

"Enjoyed staying at the Pacific Cairns. Five minute walk to the where the boats for the Islands depart and the day bus tours. Very central to eating places like the Night Markets. The bar fridge is a decent size and the bed and pillows very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here especially if you don’t have a car like was our case. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"The owners thought of special things like salt and pepper available, all kitchen items, clothes horse as not everyone wants to use the dryer. Easy walking to shops. Maybe have a map in unit for those late check ins as the map we got from reception after 3 days there was great. Maybe leave a note to warn rentals about leaving food/honey/sugar out, as ants around."

"Clean enough - there was dust on top of fridge and under bed (it moved). Overall it was clean and good location. Didn’t appreciate we had to take the garbage out and put in the chute - wish it was known. Furniture was dated could use an upgrade. Better coffee instead of just powdered. Maybe a bottled waters when people arrive. And WiFi range was not great in bedroom. I would still recommend this - we were staying in some 5 star properties before getting here - hence my expectation was higher....

"Large rooms for the price, lots of power sockets. Maintenance is average however - both globes in one light fitting were faulty. The shower head leaked, and it was hard to keep shower water from splashing out of the tub. There is no hairdryer. (We found one that was broken but it had been left by a previous customer!) The reception staff were great, but reception opens late and closes early. Overall though, it was a good value stay!"

"Wotif should boldy state this property has extremely limited access for older people. There are no lifts and staying on the 2nd floor you have two flights of stairs to use."
