"This was our first time staying at the Waters Edge and it was great. We chose it because of the close proximity to the Strand , restaurants and shops. The staff were extremely friendly. We got to check in early as our room was ready. The room was lovely and clean. It looked like the bathroom had just been renovated so that was nice. Plenty of space to spread out with suitcases. A kitchenette was also handy as we were staying for a few nights. Overall it was great. And we will definitely be back....

"A one night stay so maybe not a fair review, the room layout was two rooms (A & B) separate, behind one door, so we could here everything our nextdoor neighbour did. Reception hours weren't overly clear. "

"This was a good place to stay and super close to the football stadium. It was clean tidy and spacious. The bed however could have been much better. Not great when you hear and feel the springs when you move in bed."

"Lovely outlook over the Ross River. Near main road with some traffic noise. Security is good. Rooms only serviced once per week so you need to ask at reception for additional servicing at no additional cost. "

"We have been visiting Townsville for the last 15 years for work and now for health (nothing serious). For the last couple of years Islington at Central has been our preferred place to stay, the apartments are a good size, it's close everything and has secure parking. "
