"This is an upscale hotel. If you are looking for that, with the same clientele, this is the place for you. If you are looking for something that is Australian, this is not it - staff are mostly foreign, catering to foreigners."

"The staff are absolutely wonderful. The hotel is dated. It had its hey day in the 70s and everything is still from that era. The mattress is lumpy and old. The shower is tiny and it’s impossible not to get your hair wet with the rain shower that was obviously installed afterwards and does not belong in the tiny shower stall.
