"Basic hotel experience, perhaps more basic than price would warrant. Overlooking a storage facility. Breakfast was decent with a variety of options.Check-in was a minimalist experience— minimal intro to hotel and difficult to find afterwards for questions. Other staff were good next day."

"Cool historic hotel, located across from the train station. Very walkable to restaurants and shops, easy parking options. The rooms are old but tasteful, and could probably use some updates. The main lobby and outdoor courtyard was beautiful and historically decorated. Their restaurant and bar, a centerpiece of the property, was closed for renovations. Too bad."

"Very friendly and helpful front desk staff, able to help with limited dining suggestions for a Sunday night when most options were closed. We appreciated having housekeeping take care of the basics each day--a rarity these days for multiple nights stays. Good breakfast options, especially for travelers visiting Big Bend National Park."

"We had everything we needed and were comfortable. We were confused about the checkin but we just missed the sign saying the check in was in the diner. It was quiet and we slept well."
