“Overall, the living areas are clean. There is a beautiful floral scent throughout the house, and the lighting is adequate even at night. The ambiance of 125 year-old creaking stairs and wood adds to the house’s charm. The staff are very attentive and pleasant, and their breakfasts were delicious. Daily happy hour is appreciated, and offers a chance to meet others staying at the residence. Our room was stuffy when we returned at night after a day exploring, but it did have an oscillating fan……

“The room was lovely, and the bed was comfortable. Our hostess, Joellen, was friendly and courteous. She makes a mean waffle! Since we were the only guests that evening, we had a lovely conversation with her. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Galveston.”

“Accommodation is more geared to younger visitors who wants a place to sleep & shower! Directly across from the ocean was nice! The king bed was comfortable! Room can use as update (flooring in bathroom area needed repair). Location is in close enough proximity to restaurants where one can easily walk; further away you’ll need to drive. Again, for the younger generation, the room would suffice. For older guests a makeover would be more pleasing. Oh, and no cable...”

“If it wasn't for the ocean view I would have asked for a refund. The room was very dirty, toilet, bathroom and floors. Beds and towels were clean. Staff was nice. For 100$ I was very disappointed to have to clean it up! They need better housekeeping!”
