“The staff were wonderful and cheerful. Restaurant and bar were excellent. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The property is within a five minute walk to the theatres and cathedral. I would definitely stay here again!”

“This hotel is close to the City Centre and has around 5 parking spaces for clients. The staff were very kind and helpful. The property is very old and each room is named after the Cathedral bishops. The room was light and airy with windows that open. We were at the back and there is a public path which was a bit noisy. The rooms are fine but could do with some updating. The breakfast was made to order and hot which cannot be said for more modern hotels in the City.”

“Grant could not have been more helpful. He assisted us with changing the accommodation due to my wife’s sight problems. Basically very friendly and welcoming.”

“The staff were helpful and the room was excellent - clean, well furnished, with good courtesy tray, easy to operate TV, an excellent shower in the bathroom. The only slight criticism was of the very limited choice of breakfast cereals - just rice krispies and coco-pops. Please offer muesli, Weetabix, shredded wheat etc. for those of us who prefer something more grown-up and fibrous !”

“I stayed on a business trip. The hotel was perfect. It was very comfortable and all of the staff I met were really great. The evening meal was delicious, as was the freshly made full fried breakfast. So much better in every way to the Premier Inns that I normally stay in for work. And….its on the beach so the best end to my long drive was having a beer looking at the sea. I don’t know if I’m going to be back down that way again, but if I am will definitely stay at this hotel.”

“Has a cafe bar which is used for meals and has lovely food, the management and staff are really helpful. Loads of parking. No aircon but that is something they could look at going forward.”

“all i wanted was a lovely clean room with a view of the beach but also not too far from the train station and this was exactly that. it was so close to the beach i could come back and relax after hours in the sun. the place looks even better in person and the lounge was so comfortable, i enjoyed looking at the sky change in the evening. when i left in the morning of my first day, they had refilled the water in my room before i had returned which was incredibly thoughtful due to the weather, i……
