“A beautiful country inn with quaint rooms. The restaurant is excellent with food of a high standard. The staff are absolutely excellent and very helpful and efficient. A nice touch is the small hamper in the room with a few goodies, but it would have been nice maybe to have some fruit rather than crisps and sweets. It's great that the inn is adults only, but it is dog friendly and whilst most dogs I encountered there were well behaved, one guest insisted on having their dog on their lap when……

“Check-in staff were excellent considering my arrival was late at night! Very comfy bed and the breakfast was delicious! Fantastic location, so close to the town centre and good free parking. Would defo stay here again!”

“Chef could not handle my no salt soft diet. My wife had to forget about her low salt diet. We were disappointed with the menu, which I found impossible to read because I am red green colour blind. The hotel appeared to not understand what is colour blindness. We shall book again as we have done before. But we will not eat in the evening. This is the second time that we have had issues with the food. ”

“Great England experience in a 1000 year old inn. Central and authentic. Loved the room over the entrance with views all around. Didn’t mind banging my head on the door frame too much, but I am 5’7”! Great pub downstairs. Not modern but that is what we were looking for.”
