"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "
"The room was huge, brand new and beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service sets apart the Kamo from other hotels. The staff repeatedly went beyond expectations."
"I had a lovely stay in one of the double rooms which is very spacious for Japanese hotels. I loved the the design of the room as well as its amenities - especially the en-suite bathroom! It’s located in a quite side street and the downstairs gyoza restaurant was outstanding! Would highly recommend staying at hotel inc when in Tokyo! "
"Very friendly owners and staff. Clean, comfortable property, and it was a great experience staying in an old house. Highly recommend, as long as you are ok with a shared bath."
"Our room was large and very compact with a spa located like bathroom. The staff was very accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet and uncontested but convenient to attractions and public transportation. "
"Great boutique hotel, unique in its traditional structure of OLD Kyoto and yet updated with modern elements. Breakfasts are more snack like, complimentary evening cocktails is a nice way to end the day. "

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was located in a quiet neighbourhood with a decent amount of walkable options nearby for entertainment and food. A bus stop is located less than 5 minutes away as well. The staff was great and accommodating, the free drinks from 3-6 were a very nice touch, the room was both looked nice and was clean while being decently spacious. The buffet breakfast was decent, however for 2750 yen it was a bit pricy. Would stay again for sure. "
"Central yet quiet location in Kyoto. Close to metro station and bus connections to local attractions. Walking distance to the commercial district. Staff were very helpful and the hotel provides some free transportation to a few local attractions. The breakfast was nutritious and varied with both Japanese and Western options."
"Really awesome apartment room that felt a lot bigger than on the pictures, easily the nicest hotel ive stayed in in Japan so far. It was within walking distance of convenience stores and restaurants, as well as a train station for days you want to explore more of Kyoto. Highly recommend if you're thinking of visiting Kyoto"
"Excellent super modern hotel with reasonable size rooms within 5 minutes walking distance of metro.
Good base for Kyoto with regular buses to Gion.
Reception staff are super helpful.
Drinks and pastries free all day !"
