“We stayed in a sea view room and, unfortunately, the hotel didn’t live up to expectations. The biggest issue was that it felt very tired and in need of refurbishment. The room and hotel overall felt quite run down, especially considering the price. Sleep wasn’t great either. The walls and corridors seem to carry a lot of noise, so you hear doors constantly closing throughout the hotel. The “double” bed was simply two single mattresses pushed together, which wasn’t particularly……

“Amazing location. The beach is on your doorstep. Really friendly staff on arrival. Not so great in the bar and at breakfast. Didn’t have the same personal feeling / vibe for everyone . Could not fault the view or the area surrounding the hotel. Really enjoyed going across the water on the chain ferry. Would visit again for the location.”

“We chose this hotel because of its fabulous location and the photos on the website, which made it look stylish and inviting. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match our expectations. The hotel itself is looking quite tired and could really do with some refurbishment. We were also looking forward to the food after seeing the menu and photos online, but it turned out there was a new chef and a completely different menu. Instead of the restaurant experience we were expecting, it was more like a……

“located in the small downtown Lyme Regis, easy to go to the beach, shops and restaurants it is an very old inn, very tradition english wooden building, downstair is the bar and restaurant, a bit oily smell, beware of no air-con”

“All in all, the Jubilee Hotel, Weymouth is mediocre at best. Best thing about it is the location/distance from train station and closeness to the beach/sea. Room was adequate for our needs, but cramped compared to the original website photo. Whole place had a council estate/cheap holiday park feel about it. I cant recommend anything about this hotel.”

“The hotel was set in a beautiful garden with the beach and sea below. The view was beautiful from our room and you could hear the sea when in bed, it was so calming. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly, The food was very tasty and well presented. The garden was very relaxing with sun loungers after a day on the beach.”

Ideas for improvement- larger fridge, the fridge is tiny - other than the free water that is provided you can’t fit anything more in there. Robes would be nice as well as body lotion or hand cream in the bathroom.”
