“What a beautiful & peaceful place to spend the 40th bday weekend for our youngest sister! There were 7 of us so every space was used from walking the 5 acre property of fields and forests with the dogs, hanging out on the back deck after dinner, running our zanny and active murder mystery in the large downstairs family room to hot tubbing at night. Rachel and Wesley were responsive hosts prior and during our stay. Plenty of towels, dishes, utensils, condiments and cookware for our large family……

“My dad and I had a great stay at the cabin. We were in town for the PGA Championship at Valhalla and the cabin was a great place to unwind after a long day in the course. Lots of great golf courses around the area to play as well! Thank you for such a wonderful stay! We felt very safe and comfortable at the cabin!”

The history about the premises was very interesting, cleanliness was good, and it was very relaxing sitting in the enclosed patio. Conveniently located close to Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger museum, and some of the bourbon trail distilleries. Owners were very friendly. Had a great weekend.”

“I visited this property on a trip to the bourbon trail with 12 total people for two nights and it was everything we could ask for. There are a lot of options for sleeping and the Rec Barn is a lot of fun. The proximity to a lot of the distilleries was a selling point as well. Overall, it was a great time, and the communication from the host was fantastic.”

“Great location right in the heart of the Bourbon Trail! The property was very clean and offered amazing views and such a unique experience. I woke up to the most gorgeous views every morning. We were able to have a front row view to watching horses train and do a private bourbon tasting on property. Vintage setting with all modern amenities. The space was more than enough for us to bring more friends along next time - cause they’re will be a next time!”

“Nice hotel with nice clean spacious rooms. Mildly disappointed in the check-in process. Signs on the door directed to an office across the street at another hotel that they no longer have an office in. The room wasn’t stocked with spare blankets either. Even with those two minor issues, the hotel was great. Plenty of amenities in the room. Great location and reasonable prices. ”
