The place is outdated but talking to Steve who is the new owner he plans on making some changes. Overall it is what we expected and all that we really needed for what we were up to.
Cottage is in a pretty setting across from the lake. Owner’s home is next door and other cottages along the road. Rooms are smaller than picture show. Good value for the price and we were able to bring our dog!
The shower was nasty, door was broke on shower, went to use dishes and had to wash them because they were not clean. Had to go buy new sponges because ones there were mildew
The highlight of the property was having the water right outside the front door and a good-sized firepit. The guest house itself was not overly clean and is outdated, but we made do. The wide angle pictures make the property look larger but the description states its actual square footage. Having a place to bring the puppies for the weekend was a perk. The oven and stove top are pretty small if you're planning to cook, but there are pots, pans, and serving utensils provided. Checkin and checkout were contactless, but the property owner was in the main house for the duration of our stay. Overall, a decent first trip to the area.
We had a wonderful getaway at this cabin! Sandy met us when we arrived and was available all weekend if we needed anything. We didn’t. The lake is beautiful, the cabin is what you would expect. One of the best parts is we were walking distance to one of the best supper clubs we’ve ever been to! The sunset short walk there was just beautiful! We loved our weekend away and we will definitely return in the summer!
This property was the cutest little cabin on the lake. Quaint and quiet, this property had everything we needed for our getaway! Checkin and checkout were a breeze. Everyone in the area is welcoming and helpful. Great restaurant within walking distance. Highly recommend!
This was a great little place. Loved the sound of the lake in the evening. The cottage was very nice and cozy.
I would say that given that it can sleep up to 6 some more plates, glasses, and silverware would have been nice as well as access to a canoe or kayaks.
We spent 3 days and 2 nights here. The neighborhood is nice and very quiet. The lake is directly across from the property - perfect views. The property itself could use some updating, but it's perfect for a short stay. We had everything we needed and the contactless check-in process was smooth and easy.
Guest house with all of the necessities and a beautiful view of the lake. Property manager was accommodating throughout our stay. If you are ok with staying in a guest house that is on the same property as the main house which may have other occupants, then this was a great rental for an affordable price. Would highly recommend.
This cozy cottage was perfect for our winter getaway
We stayed here in the winter. Easy to get to from the highway, even in a snowstorm (no big hills or anything), and it was nice and warm inside, with plenty of hot water. The property managers came and cleared away all the snow for us in the morning. The cottage was pretty much exactly as pictured, except with a few more close neighbors now. Still feels very secluded, since there aren't many people here in the winter, and you have an unobstructed view of the lake from the big front windows. It's clear that the owners use the cottage a lot, and we think that's a good thing, because it means it's well taken care of. Good quality furniture and a comfy bed--a nice change from some cheapo AirBnBs we've stayed in. And the towels smelled just fine :) Altogether, it was just what we were looking for. Thank you!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Small cottage with stinky towels /great for summer
Good location best if staying in summer time.
Owners things in closets ,chest shelves family pictures all overe the place they left food in refrigerator and freezer it made us uncomfortable
sheets clean but very old with stains
No WiFi accents
Great little cottage with an incredible view of Lake Koshkonong. It is outdated, but the price reflects that and, as long as you’re not expecting the Hilton, you (and your pups!) will be perfectly happy here.
The cabin had a moldy smell and there was clutter outside and inside. (e.g. clothes and toiletries already in the bathroom). But, for the price, its a decent deal.
Clean and picturesque getaway. Great view from front window, nice walks with dig. Recommend two restaurants: Sunset Bar & Grill, drinks and pub food with nice shaded tables on the beach overlooking the lake. And the Brickhaus Café, in Jefferson.

3 Nights on Lake Koskonong
Cabin had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It was very comfortable even as the temperature reached 0. Everything worked great and it was a very relaxing 3 days away from our home while our floors were being redone. this is not the Ritz. Its a quaint comfortable cottage. It accommodated the 2 of us and our dog very nicely. We had a few friends visit and had plenty of room to entertain. Everyone commented on how cool the place was, even talked about renting it or the big house next door at a later date.

Quaint cabin in a relaxing setting
Stayed here for a quite getaway. The cabin was in good order upon arrival and was a great place to relax. Extra bonus this was walking distance to a great supper club! We will be back again
