I didn’t realize how far away this hotel was from bus stops or train stations when booking and found myself kind of stranded (I tried to walk to the bus stop 20minutes away and the streets immediately around the hotel are not designed for pedestrians). Inn the Fuji

"Unique property convenient to Mt. Fuji Station and the town of Fujiyoshida. Stayed here the night of the Yoshida no Himatsuri and couldn't have asked for a better location. The staff here were very friendly. Only complaint is the lack of soundproofing in the units. My room was right next to the train station and railroad tracks with constant train noise until midnight and then again starting at 5:30am. Rented a unit with a sauna and plunge pool - which was a very nice addition. I would definitely stay again!"

"very traditional setting, staff were very friendly and accommodating. to us westerners, our room had a strong fish smell which turned out to be new tatami mats. they were willing to change our rooms to ensure we had a restful sleep. included traditional breakfast and dinner was a fantastic experience. the staff are so so friendly and respectful. what we wish we had known before booking - people with tattoos are not permitted in the public onsen. This was not clearly listed in the description.."
