We stayed overnight on the way to Loch Ness Marathon - will be back during the daytime to visit the rewinding centre properly, as it looked really interesting.

“A very cosy house right in the heart of Fort Augustus. The living room was lovely with the fireplace, though we forgot to ask for more firewood and it got a bit cold at night. It was very peaceful—I think we were the only guests! The room is small if you're travelling with luggage, but very comfortable and warm. The bathroom was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was basic but decent.”

“This hotel was an absolute 10 out of 10.
Check-in and check-out were completely seamless and faultless. Breakfast was amazing, with high-quality food and beautiful presentation. The views over the loch were simply breathtaking — we were even lucky enough to capture a stunning sunrise.
We chose this hotel to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and even before our host Gabriel knew the occasion, he had already upgraded our room. Once he found out about our anniversary, his attentiveness truly……
