"This is a nice, clean and private cabin near west Jefferson. The master bedroom is a good size and the two upstairs rooms are nice. The deck is large and overlooks the river. Nice quiet area to walk our dogs in. Only negatives are the walls/floors are very thin and you hear everything. The kitchen is smaller with really no prep area and no pantry. Husband and kids enjoyed fishing the river although only one bite. Dogs loved the water as well and the weather was warm for the season. This house was very clean! I recommend this cabin for families or a couple. Very quiet and private."

"We enjoyed our stay at New River Haven so much! The house was exactly as described and such a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We took lots of walks and enjoyed the river views from the porch. West Jefferson is one of our favorite places to visit. Can’t wait to plan our next visit!"

"You can tell the owner takes pride in their property as everything is clean, well taken care of and properly maintained. The jacuzzi tub is clean and relaxing. Overall I would highly recommend this property and based on how well it is taken care of, if they own more listings I would not hesitate one second to rent. Will Definitely Return. "I stayed here for a week when I came to town for work. This cabin was just as described and was very comfortable. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. I even extended my stay in town and booked another cabin with this host and am again pleased. I will definitely book this cabin again."

"The cabin is roomy, with large outdoor space and great view of the water avcross the quiet street. It was warm, well stocked, and includes a smart tv. Denver the host is kind and responds quickly to any need or question. We will return when we hit Ashe County again!"

"We loved staying in the house. We had just two adults and our dog. We loved walking down the path to the river. Took about 10 minutes taking our time. Not too steep, but a mountain trail. a few benches along the way to rest and enjoy the forest. River was nice. Our dog and we enjoyed swimming and did some fishing and tubing. River is not too deep and not flowing too fast. House had everything we needed to cook a full meal including outside grill and gas fireplace was nice. Basement was cool with tv and couches and card table and air hockey and foosball and door walks outside to hot tub which was nice. Steep driveway but we managed in a car. Firepit on ground level next to parking. Main level off of parking has walkway to deck that is on two sides and this is main living room and kitchen with two bedrooms and full bath. Upper level has loft with queen bed and full bath. Basement is lower level with full bath and games. Loved it. Also management was always there via text and very very helpful"

"Awesome stay for a couple or small family if you're looking for a quiet retreat. The beds were not comfortable - the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. If you can overlook that issue, it's a great spot for a weekend getaway. We spent most of the time on the screened porch and deck, anyways. Close to West Jefferson and lots of hikes. "
