"This place was perfect for what we needed. It's not luxury by any stretch but you aren't paying for luxury. It was comfy, clean and did everything we need. The staff on the desk was very nice. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth a stay if you dont want to pay ridiculous prices "

"Wonderful Stay – Comfortable & Thoughtfully Managed! Stayed for 2 nights in Edinburgh and had a very pleasant experience. The property was extremely comfortable and well maintained. One of the best features was the option to use their waiting room if you arrive early or have a late flight – complete with bathroom and shower facilities to freshen up while your room is being prepared or after check-out. "We had a lovely stay here! The owner is very kind & let us keep our rental car parked on the property after we checked out so we did not have to find street parking. It’s easy to walk to the city and very clean and cozy! Would stay here again. "

"The stay was suitable for our trip, the room was clean. The only thing I would like to add is that the facilities just need adjusting e.g more toiletries to be offered, and things like a iron to be added downstairs if you did need them, and the door slams so maybe a clasp or something to be added to make it quieter for other guests. "

"Such a lovely stay in this beautiful guest hotel! It had such a lovely home feeling. Very budget friendly and walkable distance to the city. If I were to make any suggestion I would say it would have been helpful to have a mini refrigerator with a microwave for meals. "

"The staff was responsive and friendly. Overall the stay was nice, the only thing that made me not give them 5/5 is that we booked a triple room, upon arriving to the room only 2 bath towels where found, and even tho we asked for an extra towel through Expedia chat nobody provided it. Bear in mind with this and bring your towels from home but after all, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for hosting us :) "

Unbelievable Virgin Experience

"This is my first experience with Virgin Hotels. I must say, it exceeded my expectation in every way. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a church suite room which was incredibly spacious, super comfortable and well appointed. I was particularly impressed with the eco friendly lighting and climate control experience. The unique branding and artwork is very apparent and appealing. I would highly recommend Virgin and this Edinburgh location was ideal. "

"The breakfasts were amazing , as were the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them, they were very pleasant at all times... I was pleased with my room : the bathroom had a shower & a bath which I used to relax in the evening after a long day walking around Edinburgh, seeing all the wonderful sights of the city..."

"Liked this hotel very much. The room was lovely, well equipped, and very comfortable. And the view of the castle was pretty nice too. The only slight negative was that the cooked breakfast (waffles and Eggs Benedict) was all right but not wonderful, so not quite up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Everything else was terrific."
