“No response to emails either direct to the pilot boat or via hotels.com; entry requirements not provided in advance and when provided were not the same as advertised. 2 promises to provide the door code by text were not fulfilled. Breakfast advertised but not provided. Room well supplied but cold on arrival and didn’t warm up until en of day 2. The bed was comfortable but we have stayed in previous years and the service is not as good now. ”

“Owner was very welcoming, room was nice and clean, fresh sheets, clean towels and price was very reasonable. Breakfast was nice enough. Fresh fruit, juice, cereal, yogurts, toast, fresh tea and coffee, more than enough to choose from. Ethel was very helpful and polite. Highly recommended.”

“Our stay at The Havelock was extremely pleasant. The hotel was very clean and well presented. Paul and Vicky were excellent hosts and were always on hand for a friendly chat. The breakfast was very good and all the serving staff were so friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is great - with old Shanklin village, Shanklin Chine and the beach all nearby. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Havelock and will hopefully return one day. Thoroughly recommend! ”
