“A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with. Times were also a little tight from breakfast, dinner, room cleaning and checkout but it was a small hotel so this is understandable. I would definitely stay here again. Thankyou.”

“Reception staff left us standing at reception for 20 mins to check in. No verbal communication. Just handed keys and piece of paper with instructions. Room VERY tired and dated. Carpet dirty old, thin and poorly fitted. I didn't want to walk on it with bare feet. Balcony and balcony chairs dirty. Chairs were old plastic patio chairs and were dirty. No privacy on balcony from rooms next door. Very noisy. Only single glazed windows so didn't shut out noise. Techno music thumping away til……

“The setting is perfect, overlooking Freshwater Bay, and the hotel has been beautifully restored. Everywhere feels very spacious and comfortable. The staff are lovely and clearly wanted us to have a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. They dealt with my irritating dietary requirements with concern and professionalism and were all friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back.”

“The hotel itself is looking a bit tired but our room was spotless and clean. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was hot and tasty. The location is amazing. Fantastic place to stay if u don't want to spend loads of time in the hotel.”

“I realise that ‘bog standard’ will never be a descriptor for a caravan, but superior is way too kind. Thankfully only 2 of us were staying in a 6 berth, because bedroom 3 is ludicrous. It seemed clean until I found someone else’s razor in the shower. The caravan’s are piled in very close to each other, meaning not only can you not park next to it, you can’t park anywhere near it and ours had a complete staircase to navigate due to the terracing. The outdoor pool has a licensed capacity of 20……

“The hotel is in a great location, it’s clean enough although things like the stair carpet could be replaced as it’s threadbare, but overall clean. The room was one of the cheaper ones, but it’s definitely tiny and the bathroom is awful, no need for a sink that big in such a tiny bathroom. Other than that it’s average. Sadly, the one star is due to the managers attitude, it’s absolutely disgusting and massively passive aggressive. We were woken by staff late at night as the payment hadn’t gone……

“After a long day of emptying a property, we were looking forward to getting to our room and winding down for the night. Upon arrival into the room, it was like an oven opening up the door. It was 30-degree heat outside, and not one window had been left open to help ventilate or keep the room cool. We had to open our main door to try and let some air enter the room as it was absolutely unbearable to stay in there. Then it was time for a shower. We were sweaty and grubby, and I just wanted a nice……

“The property was beautifully decorated, staff were extremely helpful and polite, customer service was excellent. The only issue that we had was the shower in our room, it had absolutely nothing about it, there was no pressure whatsoever, purely a trickle of water!”

“The cottage needed extra cleaning when we arrived, but staff were fantastic to try and help. Some of the furniture was tired for a cottage claiming to be a luxury accommodation. But the hot tub, pool, staff and colwell bay made the trip lovely.”
