"In general it is a well maintained, upscale hotel. My only complaint is that the check-in process is a two step event, one on the first floor and one on the second. The latter was quite lengthy - a line up of about 30 minutes. The breakfast is above average but not excellent."

"Excellent Base for Exploring Osaka! We spent a week at Sugata Hotel from October 1 to 8 and had a great overall experience. The entire team here is top-notch—always welcoming, efficient, and eager to help out with any questions. Rooms are definitely snug, but they make smart use of the space and come fully equipped with all the essentials. Spotless, too! What really sets this place apart is the location. You are within easy reach of multiple transit options, great shopping, and a fantastic food scene—with Dotonbori just a short stroll away. A comfortable, well-managed property that makes exploring the city super easy. Would gladly stay here again!"

"The hotel itself is great -- lovely, helpful staff and good amenities. There are many places to eat and/or drink nearby. The central location works well for getting around Osaka, but he neon-lit, perpetually crowded mall surrounding the hotel is not a restful or relaxing experience -- great if you don't mind full on sensory overlload."
