“Room was dated, but clean, very spacious and quiet. Good breakfast and polite and helpful staff. Very happy with our stay, would recommend”

“Welcoming, friendly staff, clean and well maintained room and property, super comfy bed. Breakfast and dinner offered a variety of fresh cooked meals which were really good. The pub has its own car park too. Quiet at night considering the location in the middle of the village, great to have a window that opened in my bedroom with a decent blackout blind. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. A true hidden gem of local hospitality.”

“Beautiful room with all that I needed for my overnight stay. I dined in the restaurant, and had breakfast, and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend the Belland Crown.”

“The staff we had contact with were exceedingly helpful and friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food quality was excellent.”

“Everything about the Hotel was excellent. Lovely, friendly, very helpful staff, compty bed and room, clean and with coffee/tea/biscuits provided. Breakfast was first class, trout with poached eggs were perfect, Trish went above and beyond to help us with my disabled husband, she even collected our cases from our room and a staff member took and loaded them into our car. Would certainly stay here again.”

“A nice stay. A lovely pub right in the middle of Frome. We stayed here to go to an event at the Cheese and Grain which was perfect. Just be aware that as the rooms are part of an active pub you may get some noise on busier nights”

“A historic building in a central position in Frome, clearly an old coaching inn or similar. The bedrooms sit within a maze of staircases and corridors. Some stairs are best suited to young mountain goats. My room was on the top floor, up a narrow, steep stair with a tricky turn. My stick and I managed it, just, and staff brought up and took down my case. I expected an attic-type room, but it was spacious, with high ceilings, nicely laid out and with a clean, well-maintained bathroom - full……

“Room was quite small, but adequate. Bed was clean and comfortable .Shower and bathroom were very good. We would have liked to have a small fridge in the room.”

“Had a great stay, room 1 was fantastic. We enjoyed the comfortable bed and a sofa was a bonus. Great bath, one thing to note may be the addition of a shower curtain, we managed to soak the floor every time we used it. Water and orange juice was a nice touch and filtered coffee was tasty. We did feel the stairs were very deep and the additional of another hand rail may be something to consider. Lovely dark room and we slept so well. Breakfast was great, nice to see all local and home grown……

“The hotel area is very nice and food is excellent. However the room was very poor. It was small, had a large low beam right across the access areas of the room that is impossible to avoid. The room was freezing when I arrived and the TV didn't work, despite the best efforts of the staff”

“A wonderful place to stay. A fantastic old building with so much character and lovely country views. Bedrooms very comfortable with great attention to detail and well thought through. Excellent breakfast and a good menu for dinner - well presented and very tasty. The highlight though were the staff throughout. It's such a pleasure to receive genuine excellent customer service from start to finish. Thank you.”

“Booked a deluxe room for 2 nights. Allocated a substandard room, needing refurbishment, tired with curtains hanging off poles, dark and dingy with broken tiles in the bathroom. Staff in denial initially, eventually moved into another much better standard of room. On our departure we had no hot water. Breakfast was a poor experience too with staff in addition not informing us that Breakfast started later on a Saturday. So no breakfast that day due to our departure time. However, we attended our……

“房間非常寬敞，有浴缸，在英國以這價錢能有這樣的房間已是超值。附近有超市和Fish & chips shop，也算方便。因今次是自駕，所以酒店位置是沒問題的，但如果搭公車就不是太容易去到了。”

“We enjoyed our stay, good breakfast and dinner, staff are helpful, will go back there again. Good location and good scenic view.”

“On first arriving to this hotel all seemed well, staff member was polite, explained all we needed to know and helped us to our room, once in the room we noticed that it needed to be maintained better as there was cracked tiles in the bathroom, frayed carpet areas, paint chips and marks on the doors. The furniture such as the dressing table is bubbled up and the tv remote was dirty also. The bed was very hard and left me with a very painful back, the pillows were flat and so had to fold them to……
