"Peaceful and quiet. Use of private onsen. Not too far from the train station or close shops. Houses are more in the traditional sense which is great. Just have to walk uphill a little bit to reach the accommodation. Fine if a youngster or fit enough. Got a lift to the station when checking out as well. How good? Early June for 2 nights for 2 of us. Reasonable price for the experience."

The hot springs felt relaxing as well. The hotel is isolated, and the nearest convenient store is a 10 minute walk away, but the trees and mountains really make you feel immersed in nature. "Unfortunately this property did not meet expectations and was grossly overpriced. The Japanese style room was very dated but a nice size. Good AC. The food was great and there were a lot of options. The property needed to be cleaned and updated. The area outside of the property is shocking. It is filled with abandoned buildings that are various states of disrepair. It felt unsafe. Transportation wasn’t great. I booked the bus- which is said to be an amenity- only to learn we had to pay getting off. Good thing I had cash. People were nice but I’d never go back."
