"The staff were very helpful with any questions that we had, as well as the hotel was comfortable and being able to stay in a building with the history it had was a great experience."

"Very courteous and friendly staff. Breakfast included a good variety of food. A couple of mornings when we had to leave before breakfast was served, we were given a bag of food, so we didn’t have to leave hungry. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel."
"The staff were friendly and helpful, the room and whole building were clean and everything was in good working order. The television however was old and slow- difficult to really use because of this. Otherwise it was excellent!"
"This hotel is located in the heart of Edinburgh, with a great view of the city. It's in walking distance of great shopping, pubs, and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is an extra fee and they have a very small lot. Breakfast is also an extra fee but was delicious with friendly service. I especially appreciate the chilled, filtered water they offer on each floor. We stayed in a "family room" that does not have air conditioning. But they had a fan available and it was quite comfortable. We were there at the end of July. "
"I booked a bed in Pod in The Courtroom (mixed dormitory). The room is huge but everything echos within the space. I know there is only so much the hostel can do but one of the guest was laughing throughout the night. Then he woke up around 6AM to make a loud phone call. Another guest must have confronted him because it was quiet then. These are risk you take booking a share hostel. Regardless, I would stay here again. It's right in the center of everything."
