“The hotel was truly amazing. The location was perfect right in the middle of old town next to restaurants and a 5 min walk from the river front. The patio area was nestled in the middle of the hotel and felt like a breath of fresh air. The service was great they were extremely attentive. I also sprained my ankle and asked for some ice they had someone bring it in mins in a sealed bag so I can ice my ankle truly great hotel”

“I arranged for rwo rooms on Expedia as I could not access the hotel's direct site and calls were not answered. We were already staying in Madeira and our flights were cancelled due to high winds. When we arrived at 430pm we were informed that the rooms needed to be cleaned and we would be contacted. Our friends using room #1 were contacted the next hour of their room being ready. We approached the lobby desk three times to ask about our second room, we were told the first time that the room……

“Stayed here for a week during my recent solo travel to Madeira, and aside from the friendly staff, the clean facilities and the included daily buffet-style breakfast, the convenience of its location was what stood out for me the most: it's somehow both in a quiet neighbourhood and less than 10 minutes of walk away from the seaside and the marina, probably 5 minutes away from many local, non-touristy dining options and shops. For travellers who prefer or are used to extras like on-site massages……

“Kitchen was fairly well equipped for prepping breakfasts. It had pots and pans should you decide to prepare a meal.”

The hotel is very old and outdated and the wifi does not work. We were able to check in late and the room was clean but I would not stay there again for that price. It is very ideal for solo or couple travellers who aren't hiring a car as the location is incredibly central with sights restaurants and transfer pick ups all a few minutes walk away. It is very typical for a 3/4 star hotel with all necessities well met, a decent breakfast and friendly staff”
