“The best hotel great service prime location”

“Excellent property right in the centre of Funchal. We stayed in the top floor apartment V, which had a lovely balcony that has a side view towards the see and sunshine from midday. The kitchen is full of all utensils and cleaning products. Tupperware came in handy to take on hikes with you. There are a couple of points to note. There is no lift so you need to make sure you can climb plenty of steps. The mattress is quite firm and the building carries the noise so you can hear a lot of things……

“Centrally located in town. Tons of restaurants and bars to pick from. Great hotel overall. Only disadvantage is parking is either on street or in a parking garage requiring you to bring your luggage too and from where you park.”

“Was a bit hard to communicate to the front desk when informing them about my late arrival. They were very helpful on arrival but getting around the property was a bit difficult and the lack of instruction about appropriate entrances at certain times throughout the day made things a bit hard. Breakfast at the cafe on site was lovely. Make sure you inform the hotel prior to arrival if you have a car you need to park. You need a set of keys to get through all the doors and they only give you one……

“Hotel ist sehr guter Lage mit tollem Frühstück im Schwesterhotel (5Sterne) schöne Poollandschaft mit Gym, Whirlpool und Indoor-Pool tolle Aussicht, alles sehr hochwertig sehr nettes Personal: wir mussten unseren Aufenthalt verlängern wg Generalstreik (u.a. TAP), bekamen für die 2Tage ein Zimmerupgrade”

“Very good location, very spacious rooms and cleaned, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast food was too repetitive and not a lot of fresh fruits.”

“Very good sized apartment in a good location, within walking distance to the marina, old town, restaurants and a nearby shopping centre with a supermarket. Simple check in process via a door code. Very quiet in the evenings. The shower is large but due to the set up the water does spill over as there is no shower door. The apartment got warm which was ok in April with the plug in fan but would likely be too hot in the summer with no air con”

“I had an incredible stay at Pier House during my recent trip to Funchal. I actually ended up staying here three times over the course of the trip, which says it all. Andre was an excellent host — genuinely kind, welcoming, and always helpful. He really made the experience feel personal and comfortable. The rooms were fantastic — spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. I had some of the best nights’ sleep here, which is exactly what you want after long days exploring and……
