“I arranged for rwo rooms on Expedia as I could not access the hotel's direct site and calls were not answered. We were already staying in Madeira and our flights were cancelled due to high winds. When we arrived at 430pm we were informed that the rooms needed to be cleaned and we would be contacted. Our friends using room #1 were contacted the next hour of their room being ready. We approached the lobby desk three times to ask about our second room, we were told the first time that the room……

“We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. We used the bar a couple of times, loving the idea that we got to choose our "Happy Hour", we also……

“Positives - Our room was on the 6th floor which has an amazing view out to the Atlantic! - The bed was comfortable - The air con was good. - Shower was good. - Enjoyed our time at the lower level sea water pool and great to have sea access. - Nice bar staff at the lower level pool. Negatives - Really poor soundproofing in the room, we heard stomping around from upstairs at all different hours of the day, you can hear people using the bathroom taps/showers. You can hear next door TV. This……

“Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral im Ortsteil Sao Martinho von Funchal. Sehr gut geeignet für Ausflüge über die Insel. Die Anlage besteht aus 3 Hotels, deren gemeinsame Außenanlagen (Pools, Gym, Bars, Restaurants) von allen Gästen genutzt werden können. Die Außenanlage war wunderschön angelegt und gepflegt. Wir hatten eine Junior Suite, die groß und sehr gut eingerichtet war. Alles war sauber und heil. Leider hatten wir keinen Gartenblick, sondern direkten Meerblick, der allerdings über einen großen……

“A very good hotel with an excellent breakfast and great amenities. The room we stayed in—located on the floor 0 felt a bit dated; upon entering, there was a noticeable stale odor. In the evenings, there is wonderful live music in the bar and a very pleasant atmosphere. It is an adults-only hotel, though I would say its 55+. I recommend it for a peaceful, relaxing getaway!”

“We were forced to book this hotel last minute due to a cancelled flight and no other options. It was incredibly expensive and not worth the cost. The hotel is very old and outdated and the wifi does not work. We were able to check in late and the room was clean but I would not stay there again for that price. Definitely taking advantage of low inventory on the island”
