「Arrived and no one was in the lobby or at the desk. We waited a while then finally found someone. A man with huge fake breasts came out, didn't acknowledge us other than asking for ID and credit card. Made no eye contact. Handed us the room key and that was it. Worst customer service we've experienced at a hotel. Also parking on Expedia is listed at $12, but hotel had a handwritten sign saying parking was $15. Definitely staying somewhere else next time we're in area.」

「Really delicious breakfast, so many options and a lot of space to accommodate families. Room was really spacious and up to date, charging ports and full kitchen with appliances etc. Very comfy beds, loved our stay!」

「Booked and paid for a double room 5 weeks in advance. At check-in, after waiting for staff to check multiple rooms it was discovered there were no double rooms available. I was then told I would be given a single with a roll away cot….but after more waiting, we found out there were no cots available. The desk person finally called the manager, who said the best they could do for me was 50% off of a second room. What a deal! 50% off of a room I should not have to pay for in the first place....

「There were repairs made to the wall inside the room. Plaster was all over the wall and carpet. The bathroom had clean towels, but the tub was not clean. Used soap and hair still in the tub, on the shower wall and floor beside the toilet. Even saw a large bed bug crawling on the pillow on the bed.」

「The air conditioner is very noisy, and in the early mornong, 4 AM, the train passes by in front of the window, making it very noisy. Thankful, the hotel provided a pair of earplugs. It was really no useful.」

「Staff, clean facility, breakfast and coffee availability」

「This is an absolutely gorgeous, wonderful historic inn in Richmond. We booked this hotel at the last minute without knowing anything about it, and we were blown away by how charming and beautiful it is. The interior courtyard was like a secret garden in the city. There's even a friendly hotel cat. We'll be back, and I've already recommended it to several friends.」

「My recent stay at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Virginia was okay, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. The staff was polite, but the overall service felt inconsistent, and some interactions didn’t meet the level of attentiveness I expected. Nothing was terrible, but the experience didn’t quite match the standard I’m used to from this brand. With a bit more focus on cleanliness of the room, communication and guest support, this location could really shine.」
