“Self service check in, room could do with a bit of an update, paint peeling off the ceiling, we had to jam the door with a business card to stop it rattling in the wind, but it was good for what we paid for! It was cheap & cheerful! Clean bedding and comfy bed! Would we stay again?? Yes!!”

Later that day, after we’d already left, I received an email stating there was a £100 charge per pet, despite the Hotels.com listing clearly advertising “pets go free.”
The property appeared to have had only……

“Our room had a very ugly view over the bins and kitchen extractor fans. This created a loud hum until around 10pm and also brought some cooking smells into the room. The walls are also very thin and we could hear the room next door very clearly.
However, after midnight the noise died down and it was quiet.
The hotel is in a nice, very rural location.”
