“The wooden shoe, as the owners have tastefully named this rental, is great. We were a family of 8, including two children and the house was perfect for our extended weekend trip. The house is in an ideal location if you want to be close to the downtown while also getting that cabin feel. The yard is part lake part forest and an absolute delight to wake up to. Hosts have you set up for everything with sufficient toiletries, kitchen supplies, and ample toys for kids. The dvd collection was more……

“I am not used to dog fur and slight odors but i understand how diffulcult it is to eliminate these due to how big the house is. I would have said 5 but in my opinion 5 is perfect. ”

“The place was ok. Pretty clean minus the bugs. So many bugs it was insane. They have a bug light inside right at the front door that attracts bugs. Does not get rid of them. The whole place smelled like bug spray. ”

“This was a nice little married couples get away. The fire pit, sauna, and hot tub were great additions to get away and just relax and spend time together. The host was amazing at communicating and every detail was thought about in this tiny comfortable cabin. Thank you for a wonderful place for us to stay and get away for a couple nights.”

“Beautiful location hindered by poor cleaning and maintenanceWhile this house is cute and sits in a fantastic location, the cleanliness was unacceptable for a paid rental.The Cons:    •    Kitchen: Greasy stove/microwave, wine glasses and dirty sink that wouldn't drain.    •    Maintenance: Lower sliding door was nearly impossible to open, no bathroom towel bars in either bathroom and active mouse droppings on the lower level.    •    Outdoor Space: Spacious dock, but the boathouse was littered……

“This is a small historic barnwood cabin on a gorgeous vineyard. Considering this, it's a beautiful cabin; dry with electricity and plumbing. It's perfect for a close couple or a single person as the bathroom does not have a door. We loved the experience and would stay here again if needed.”

“The house and setting were very lovely for our family get together. However, the description of the sleeping areas were super misleading, leaving us in a very awkward position when our three families arrived. Additionally, the one bathroom in the main house does not lock and does not have any partition between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, which was also challenging to navigate with 10 people. While the kitchen was stocked fine, the can opener didn’t work, there was no Saran wrap or……

Close to our son in Pittsboro and not too far from Chapel Hill! It would be great for a game weekend if you don't like the hustle and bustle of the campus area.”
