「Zermatt is based on a german town of the same name, and strives to emulate the same ascthetics. In this regard, it succeeds. But I suspect that, after Covid hit, it never fully recovered. There are empty buildings, small aspects that require attention, and outdated signage. Also, the spa is not complementary.」

「There is no elevator. The smell in the corridor is very bad. The room also smells very bad.」

「I wasn’t instructed to not park in the lot next door and was towed. 360$ later and the manager said they couldn’t do anything. The parking garage has 1 way in which is also the way out but a dumpster sits right in front of it so makes it hard to get in and out. Come prepared with drinks and snacks because their lil store is way over priced and tgey have no restaurant on site. I also had AC issues but it was fixed quickly.」

「The room is very small, with only a toilet. The kitchen has plastic dishes, no proper knives, and no kettle to boil water. Even the most budget hotels usually provide a kettle, so it was disappointing to have to heat water in the microwave. There were about 20 pillows in the room, which felt unnecessary — four would have been more than enough. It would also be very helpful to have a small vacuum cleaner, especially for guests traveling with pets, so we could clean up after them ourselves. For...
