“We loved our stay and so glad we could bring our dog.”

“My only criticism is the bath tub is very slippery. There's no side safety bar to hang onto except a very low bar which is not reachable when standing up. There is a safety bar at the end of the tub to assist you exiting the tub but there needs to be one in the middle of the tub wall. We used a hand towel on the tub floor when showering to keep from falling. Not good.”

“They are very understaffed Room wasn't very clean. Had to go get are own towels. Did not get any maid service. The people at the front desk were very nice and tried to help.”

“Excellent staff, very clean rooms, comfortable bed. Wonderfully hot water. Plenty of parking. More sound insulation would be great, as you can hear the neighbors.”

“Room was very clean and ideal for a one night stay. Too small for comfortability. The bathroom was very small and the shower too compact for most adults. No chairs or tables for relaxation. Was clean and quaint for a place to lay your head.”

“Clean, minimalist cabin far from the city, exactly what I was after. I didn't get water before it got dark and that was dumb of me, I would suggest finding the water pump during daylight. I would highly recommend and look forward to staying again”

“Our stay this year was a lot of fun. The cabins were clean and well stocked. Not the best weather but we made the most of it, we had all 6 cabins and the house for our annual weekend. Highly recommend this Resort.”

“We booked this property for a girls weekend and loved our stay! Such a cute little cabin that had everything we needed. The only downside is no running water for showers and a porta potty. But if you don’t mind a little rustic stay then this would be a great option!”

“Very good and simple getaway. Didn’t have a/c but made it work. Would book again and fit 6 people comfortably.”

“Great small campground, very quiet and secluded. The host helped us quickly when we had a few issues with the camper. The camper is very clean. Don't forget to bring your own linens for the twin beds if you have littles. The campground shower/facilities were great compared to state parks we've stayed at in the past.The camper has very minimal pots/pans/ utensils but we made it work. Overall we loved the area and the days we spent exploring the area!”

“We did not get a beach view room as we booked for. They said they can’t guarantee a beach view if we booked 3rd party. The reason why I booked was for the view. The room we did get the toilet was clogged and sink would not drain. They said they would fix it and when we got back at the end of the day it was not fixed so they switched our room. We did get a beach view at that time but she said it was not what came through on their end for booking. Breakfast was just ok. It was edible. Need……

“Liked availability for <1wk rental, proximity to main road & host was incredibly responsive. Kids liked the train set. Didn't like that WiFi is advertised but not provided. No cable and the TV/VCR/DVD only worked sometimes. Ceiling water stains in EVERY room. Torn linens and damaged counters/furniture. Something was melted in the dryer so was concerned to use it. No towels provided. Advertises that sleeps 10 but no (glad we didn't need that many beds). The key does NOT work to the second……

“Great place to stay to enjoy the Houghton Lake area! Clean and cozy. Very close to the lake. Hosts were very responsive to our texts. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!”
