“No power. Property was unkept”

“I’ve stayed at a RIU in Montego Bay before, so I knew paying more usually means a nicer, more “luxury” experience. That wasn’t really the case here. Palace Tropical Bay didn’t feel like an upgrade, and honestly we could’ve just stayed at Riu Negril and been just as happy, if not happier. When we went there for the White Party, it looked just as nice. The swim-up bar pool was also an issue—the filter seemed off because there was always debris floating around, which wasn’t great. “Staff is great”

“A lovely boutique hotel in a very safe area, conveniently located near a grocery store with several restaurants just a short walk down the strip. The hotel itself is beautiful, featuring a gorgeous beach area, a nice pool, and a great bar. One thing to keep in mind: if you’re hoping for an ocean view, be sure to book a room on the second floor, as the bushes can block the view from first-floor rooms. The staff was definitely welcoming and I love that they played Caribbean music vs American 80s……
