“This fifteenth century hotel's walls, ceilings and floors are very uneven and the stairways and passages are narrow. We enjoyed it but some may find it challenging. Directly opposite the cathedral, it was ideal for our daughter's graduation. It's an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Breakfast and dinner were good and there's a friendly bar. “Overall an excellent hotel, the indoor pool was lovely and the staff gave great service. Breakfast was perfect, everything you could need. Slight cons are the loud music from the event didn’t end until 12.00 and for 40 mins after that there was a lot of loud talking and doors slamming which kept us awake so it’s worth checking if there are events on before booking. Also in busy times the drinks service was super slow. We were told it would be a 30 min wait for cocktails on a Saturday night.……

“Last minute booking made at 8pm by 11.30pm was at the property and no lockbox enaul had been forwarded so could not get into the property. Had to find alternative accomodation as could not waitcany longer for the info as no indication my issue was being addressed. Finally received the lockbox email at 12 30am 4.5hrs after the booking. Would not advise last minute/evening bookings for this venue.”
