"I liked the view over the garden, the large bedroom, and the wall decoration. I could hear the birds singing. The bathroom is modern, all white marble tiles. I felt comfortable. It was easy to walk downtown along the canals. The concierge was very helpful with calling for me a taxi Uber for the next morning at 3:00 am."

"We just loved the Clayton. Beautiful hotel with everything you need. Great location and super helpful staff."

"Check in was a breeze, nice welcome drink provided. I had a twin deluxe room which was sufficient. It was a bit banged up but was clean and the ac worked great. Was nice to have the window that opened and it was really quiet facing the interior. I wanted street view but facing neighboring houses was a really cool change of scenery from the canal and street. The bar had wonderful service and drinks too! "

"Clean, quiet room with large, openable windows. Knowledgeable staff, also helped with bike rentals and extra pillows. "

"Great location. Don’t expect luxury items. Beds were essentially single cots together. Comfortable enough but no abundance of pillows you may find at higher priced hotels. Bathroom had basic amenities like soap and shampoo. No hand towels or face cloths. This hotel did not have air conditioning, so summer stays may be hot. They do provide fans. Steep stairs so anyone with mobility issues will not be comfortable here. We didn’t find it a problem. "

"I did not have the breakfast. I’ve had it in the past and it was good. The rooms are very dated and tired. The plug did not work at the head of the bed, so there was nowhere to plug in the phone. Expensive for what you get, but the location is great."

"Staff were very friendly. They were unable to give good suggestions for the area regarding food options accommodating food sensitivities. The room was less than adequate with showering being a big problem - low to almost nonexistent water pressure - seemingly competing with other rooms for water pressure. The bathtub was non-operational. Got some excuse regarding the timing of the problem but when we booked it was advertised as having a functioning tub! No accommodation given for the tub problem."

"The WiFi doesn’t seem to work. A very helpful young man at the front desk helped me. He opened Data so I could get email and texts. That’s through the phone, which is not the same as WiFi. The shower door needed new rubber around it to keep water from flooding the bathroom. Desk staff was happy that was reported. "
