“I believe this hotel must be going through renovations. How else can you explain open electrical boxes and door signs taped to the doors. The hotel bathroom sink slowly drained and the shower doors didn't close. Cold water for about two minutes. I used two towels to sop up the water outside the shower, since a shower mat was not provided. No soap in the shower. One small soap at the sink. Only two trash bins. Lighting near bed was terrible. Had to move a floor lamp for good……

“The room was clean the bathroom was clean. All of the staff was very nice. The bathroom had a built in night light that was very helpful. The breakfast had a good selection of items. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I had a room facing the highway so there was a little noise but not bad. If you are a light sleeper maybe request a room on the other side of the hotel. It is a good location that is close to The Wilds and the Appalachian Wildlife Center.”

“For one night near Ohio University, it was a great choice. Not walking distance to campus, but a lot cheaper than the properties that are. It was an easy 6-minute drive away. The room was fine and I heard no noise from outside or neighbors.”

“Probably the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at …. Staff was lovely and the location was great, but it was hard to get past the filth, and musty scent.”

“The hot tub, pool and the desk workers made this a great stay! The rooms could be updated (our sheer curtains were torn) but the room was clean. Also, if you have long hair, take your own shampoo / conditioner as theirs is not the greatest.”

“Had a very enjoyable stay at the Lodge at Hocking College. Loved the location and view of the cornfield next door. The front desk personnel were friendly, efficient, and informative. My room was very nice. It was quiet and I slept well. Very glad to have stayed there.”

“Wow, the Blennerhassett Hotel is full of surprises. I booked for all the usual reasons - looked historical and charming, clean, good reviews. After check in (and they upgraded me which was nice), I had a question for the front desk and my heart melted when I saw a darling doggie friend looking back at me from behind the desk. Turns out the hotel partners with the local humane society, and has helped 200 dogs find new homes!!! They have a wall of adoptee photos across from the front desk and……

“Everything was great and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was the swimming pool. It was so cloudy we couldn’t see into it. No way we were getting into it. I reported it to the receptionist and was told the pool gets cleaned once a week and that they would report it.”

“Our room was dirty along the baseboards and doors, the shower handle didn’t work and had to have someone fix it, the shower was dirty along the perimeter. We forgot a couple things in the room and they threw them away.”
