“Wonderful stay. The setting is very peaceful and calm, after a 2 night stay we felt utterly replenished. The beds and pillows were large and comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. The spa is truly a gem here. Clean , was never crowded and relaxing. We never had any treatments but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Loved sitting outside the spa and eating after a relaxing spa session. Special mention to Victoria at the spa……

“What a piss poor hotel this is ,it looks like an asylum hotel ! Padlocks on every door , the whole corridor smelt of weed , piles of sheets and towels in the corners , no bar or restaurant and to top it all Expedia send me an Email asking if we would like to reserve a table for a evening meal and breakfast……. Really was the worst place I’ve ever stayed at !”

“Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. “This hotel is in a very old Tudor style building with heaps of charm and quirkiness. This is a popular and busy pub/restaurant/hotel. Our room was on the top floor with access by stairs with high risers. The double bedroom was small with only one bedside table and no cupboards and only one stool so it is best suited to a one night stay. The room was clean and tidy with again the charm of an uneven floor which is not a problem just be aware. As the room is close to the roof it can get very warm……

“We’re visiting from Canada. We enjoyed staying at the Inn. The room was a little warm at night because of the warm weather. It was really easy to take a bus to the Chester Bus Station and walk a few minutes to the Chester train station to go to Liverpool for the day. The staff and everyone we met were so friendly.”

“quite noizy for the room located on the road side, even after close the window. Luckily the staff in the frant desk was very kind to exchange our room close to the less noizy corner. Otherwise this is a very good choice hotel in terms of CP value. ”
