「The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and spotless. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room, which was very spacious. The bed was quite comfortable and the rooms seemed to be sound-proof because it was so quiet and relaxing. Livermead beach is located across the street; the beach is beautiful, but the sand disappears at high tide, so be sure to plan your beach day around this. We also loved the stunning views from the rooftop terrace bar. We would love to return to Torquay and stay here...

「The owners were incredibly lovely and helpful, great for a chat over breakfast and any time we crossed paths. They had ideas and suggestions of where to go and what to do and very much gave a homely feeling to our stay. The breakfast was delicious. They made a full English breakfast both days to order whilst also having a selection of different cereals, fruits and pastries. They had tea, coffee and juice all available and were incredibly dedicated to making the stay as great as possible. The...

「Absolutely no good if have any mobile issues, lots of stairs to entrance and then depends which room you are in then more stairs. Lovely family running this and very close to marina and pubs, cares etc. Excellent bus service. Parking is not on site.」

「Outdoor pool has been out of action for some time, no mention of this on the web site... The hotel Is listed, as having indoor and out door pools which was one the reasons we pick it. The weather was fabulous and we were disappointed there was no out door pool facility...」

「Most of the front of house staff were excellent and helpful. Only one obviously didn’t enjoy her work and it showed. The room was large, clean and comfortable but very hot. No air con but a fan was provided which helped. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of hot and cold food. We had dinner one night which was fine. The hotel is in a lovely setting at the top of a hill overlooking the sea. It has tennis courts and a nice pool. We were able to park and given a permit but it was very busy....

「Lovely building and really helpful owners / staff . Was really clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good . Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that .」

「had a 2 night stay and location good and in its heyday sure was a great hotel, but it is run down and needs a lot of money spent on it, room was very worn, wallpaper hanging off wall and bit tatty. we had a family room with bunk bed, and this it was very old and very noisy. The weather was very hot at the time of stay which was great for the weekend but being on 3rd floor the rooms were very uncomfortable.」

「Jo the care taker is very nice and friendly to give whatever help and advice needed for a visitor new to the place. The room is clean and in fact the whole building seems to have just been renovated.」
