"Love the pet friendly, nice staff, great location. Not enthusiastic about the concrete rooms, but I did like the indoor-outdoor vibe, and the coffee downstairs was the best i've had in ages. Did not enjoy dogs barking in the morning from the doggy daycare just below the building. "

"What a gorgeous hotel and property! It is an absolute destination whether on business travel, travel with family, or visiting Austin on holiday. We were first greeted by the extremely kind front desk reception Alexis (March 2026) who was so helpful and offered us an early check in and a beautiful view higher floor room! Her hospitality set the tone for our lovely stay. The hotel room was so spacious, large bathroom and rain shower, and comfortable beds! We also spent a whole day enjoying the blissful spa amenities (amazing massage and whirlpool room) and ended the day at the beautiful outdoor pool. Overall, it was such a wonderful stay! We highly recommend The Fairmont Downtown Austin to anyone for a memorable stay! "

The property itself is impeccably clean. Our room was spotless, modern, and well-maintained—fresh linens, comfortable bed, and no detail overlooked. Housekeeping did an outstanding job every day without ever being intrusive. The common areas were just as pristine. If you want friendly service, a spotless property, and a great location without breaking the bank, Cambria is an excellent choice. Highly recommend. "

"Great new hotel — we celebrated my husband’s birthday here, and they upgraded us to a room with a balcony. There’s a very good café downstairs. The pool is a bit small, but that’s not really a downside — it just gets busy in the heat. The staff is very friendly. *The hotel is located on 6th Street, so if you’re a light sleeper, keep that in mind. We slept great. The hotel provides earplugs, tea, and a white noise machine."

"The facility, staff and restaurants were excellent.The facility is beautiful and the staff so helpful and efficient. Only some cautions for elderly customers: the beds and toilets are very low (but lovely) and there are no grab bars in the showers. This may not be so in handicap accessible rooms but we dont consider ourselves in the categort...just old and stiff"
